The Upcycle & Upgrade Program by Bigtent Outdoors is one of our new methods to combat environmental sustainability. This program is an opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the natural world while also playing a role to preserve mother nature.

By trading in your used, unusable, or unwanted tent, shelter, or awning, you are eligible to receive up to $1,000 CAD in store credit that goes towards a brand new iKamper, known as the most durable, comfortable, and easy-to-use Roof Top Tent in the market.

We plan to send the used gear we accumulate over to THE MARKET BAGS, a local, environmentally friendly upcycling bag manufacturer in Kelowna.

What is the UP & UP program?

Camping with a rooftop tent is an experience that unfortunately not everyone can financially afford.

With that said, this Upcycle program is an opportunity for anyone to trade in their used gear in exchange for store credit that goes towards a brand new iKamper rooftop tent.

What’s the purpose?

At Bigtent, we value quality over quantity. We shine light on high quality products, and gravitate towards respectable manufactures in the industry.

One of the simplest ways we can take care of our environment is to take care of our stuff. Owning gear that lasts longer reduces waste and disposability.

Although we’re a small team, we hope to impact our community at a large scale.

What GEAR will be accepted?

Gear that we will be accepting ranges from traditional ground tents, rooftop tents, shelters, hammocks, awnings, other fabric-based camping equipment.

How does it work?

1. Once you bring in or send us a photo of your used gear, with an attached description of the iKamper model you desire, we'll get back to you with a credit applied quote.

2. If you are satisfied with the quote, drop off or send over your used gear and request an invoice for the brand new iKamper rooftop tent you choose.

3. Keep in mind your gear does NOT need to be in working condition.

Tents or awnings with missing components will still be accepted.

1. Rooftop tent

up to $1000 CAD credit

2. Ground tent

up to $800 CAD credit

3. Shelters

up to $800 CAD credit

4. Awning

up to $500 CAD credit

5. Hammock

up to $300 CAD credit

6. Other fabric-based camping equipment is also acceptable
